Trailer lighting: what to check before inspection
A quick checklist for trailer lighting before inspection or a long trip.

Trailer lighting isn’t just an inspection requirement — it’s what protects you at night. Check these points before any long trip:
- Rear lamps: stop, indicator and reverse work in every section.
- Side markers: working along the whole length of the trailer.
- Reflective boards: clean and undamaged.
- Harness and plugs: no corrosion or exposed wires.
- Number-plate light: clearly visible at night.
Found a faulty lamp? Replace it with a multi-function LED unit — it lasts longer, shines brighter and draws less power.
