LED lights are among the most popular accessories, but the wrong choice can mean weak light or repeated failures. Here is what to check before you buy:
1. Beam pattern
A spot beam reaches far and suits highways; a flood beam lights a wide area close by and suits work and manoeuvring. Many drivers combine both.
2. Colour temperature
White light between 5000 and 6000 K is best for night vision, while amber works better in fog and dust.
3. Water and dust protection
Choose IP67 or better — especially if the truck works in quarries or on desert roads.
4. Voltage
Make sure the lamp runs on 24 V if your truck has a 24 V system — most modern LED lamps support both 12 and 24 V.
Tip: always use a relay and a fuse with additional lamps to protect the truck’s wiring.
